This project for the City of Gretna renovates a former post office building along main street.  KHA was responsible for the programming, design development, construction documents,
and contract administration.  The design of the project includes new furnishings, shelving, computer areas, breakout work/craft areas for the children, bathrooms and staff offices. Renovations to the exterior of the building include additional windows, brick repair, new roof, and a new storefront window system.

The interior of the building uses vibrant colors, and youthful patterns and shapes, to create an inviting and exiting place for learning, reading, and discovery.  KHA worked closely with the City of Gretna administration, current Library staff, and members of the community to create a design that meets the needs of the users now and in the future.
