This project replaces an existing river-front administration building north of the Mormon Bridge. Three Corps of Engineers professional groups occupy the building: Administration, Technical Services, & Natural Resources. Together, these groups manage day-to-day water-level operations & navigation of the Missouri River. Natural materials give the building an attractive appearance that blends with the beauty of its surroundings. The building is sited to provide plentiful views of the river and woods. A conference facility is included in the project, to be used also by outside groups. The Waiting Area is also used to display models, drawings, and photos of projects. A small project budget required innovative techniques to meet all user's needs. Use of recycled building materials enhance the client's environmental efforts.
